Apart from the compilation suggestions that were also mailed to the BB I
got this useful tip from 
Andrew Sutherland-Smith (see below) to use pltdev to convert .plt files
to .ps

This works nicely for me, independent of xplot84driver. I will look into
the compilation later when I have time.

Hi Flip,
	Not sure about the compiling problems, but there is a CCP4
prog/jiffy called pltdev that converts plt files to ps
e.g.
pltdev -i ___.plt -o ___.ps

I don't know if this works independently i.e. without xplot84driver thou
