It seems that I just repeated the same problem, but the cause of the
error maybe
different.

This time I got the same error in my linux box with redhat 6.2. Exact
same input
and data cause no error in GAUSSJ when I run it in SGI.

And this problem only happened after I added a ligand to the protein.
Before that
everything was fine in either linux or SGI.

So there is something funny.

PS: Is the ftp site in batman york down? I wanted to download the latest
refmac5, but
can get into the ftp site any more.
