re mtz2various and outputing:
     + '_refln.intensity_meas',
     + '_refln.intensity_sigma',

It looks like the Intensity expected to be output by mtz2various
is I(+)   and  SIGI(+), check the data values for
       data m2ciflkup / 4, 5, 8, 9, 14, 19, 20, 33, 34 /
they should be
      data m2ciflkup / 4, 5, 8, 9, 14, 27, 28, 33, 34 /
from 
C             27    28      29     30     31   32
C           ' I',  'SIGIP', 'HLA','HLB','HLC','HLD',
