Dear all,

We recently purchased a MAR imaging plate dterctor and Osmic
mirrors. We have monted the detector on a Rigaku Ultrax 18 X-ray machine.
We have so far collected data for about 10 different proteins on this
machine. However, we could not satisfactorily index any of these. A
lysozyme test data set which could be processed does not scale well with
Lysozyme data collected erlier on another MAR machine of our
laboratory. In several cases, the same crystal for which we could not
process data on the new machine could be tranferred to the old machine
(MAR 300, Frank optics, RU 300) and the data collected could be
processed. Therefore, either our image plate is misaligned or there is
some problem with the alignment of Osmic mirrors. Any advice?

Thanks,
