To those who had specific questions, I will try and reply over the next
couple of days.

Also MacOSX handles the firewire ports on equipped PowerBooks very well
(better than linux), and is also a viable option.  I need only check
that I can actually put the image files on a MAC, and then put them back
on a unix machine and have denzo read them (I would think it should
work, but who knows....).
