[ccp4bb]: mosflm run time error on linux

Hello,
I compiled ccp4-4.1.1 and and mosflm-6.11b on a Linux-2.4.10 with
gcc-2.96 both with the default configurations;
Apart from a warning when reading in my input file:
 >Input beam coordinates   95.02mm   96.42mm DO NOT agree with
 >those calculated from the image header (  95.02mm   96.42mm)
where I cannot tell the difference betwenn the respectice lengths,
it dies when I autoindex an image as soon as I want to enter a
solution. The error message reads

  $TEXT:Warning: $$ comment $$
  WARNING: CCPOPN Logical name SYMOP has no associated file name
  $$
 Open failed: Unit:  24, File: SYMOP (logical: SYMOP)
 Last system error message:
 No such file or directory
 mosflm:   Open failed: File: SYMOP
 Times: User:       8.7s System:    0.1s Elapsed:    1:14

So I don't know whether it's an error in a ccp4 library, in mosflm, or me.
Does anyone else?
