i think it's documented that it doesn't work, so technically it's a feature
rather than a bug

anyway - if someone can send me some commented chunks of fortran code showing
how to read (and possibly, but less urgently, write) fsfour maps, plus an
fsfour map to use for testing, i'll be happy to try and fix it. the same holds
for any other map formats that mapman either doesn't support yet, or is
supposed to support but doesn't
