Happy New Year!

As far as I know, all systems are go and provided the speakers agree the
webcast from the CCP4 study weekend should begin at 9.00am UK time on
Friday the 4th of January with the intro to CCP4 workshop.

It should also be noted that CCP4 staff are also at this meeting so will 
be unable to respond to emails until Monday.

Dear CCP4bb,

Following the success of the availability of the Scaling Masterclass 
online I've decided to go one step further! (BTW the Masterclasses should 
resume in the new year).

Arrangements are underway to broadcast the whole of the CCP4 study weekend
(including the pre study weekend CCP4 mini workshop) LIVE online
(regretfully negotiations with the satellite station have fallen
through). Broadcasts on the day will be subject to technical difficulties
and the consent of the speakers. After the event the talks will also be
available for private viewing at leisure.

Regretfully the site is very Microsoft biased (I'm open to suggestions -
and will pass them on). You can test your browser now by trying the
scaling masterclass also available on this site. I have been assured that
the server can cope with slower networks (e.g. dial-up, though this may
not apply to the masterclass) and longer distance transmissions (e.g. to
the US). Software licensing does mean that there is a limit of 200 viewers
at a time.
