Dear All,

I am trying to use SCALA to process my MAD datasets. After I finished the
manual, I came up several questions.

In a MAD experiment, I have six deferent datasets. (3 wavelength, I+ and I-
for each wavelength). The deference between I+ and I- is that PHI rotates
from 0 to 180 degree. I integrated these six datasets in MOSFLM. In SCALA,
should I use 3 RUNs (one for each wavelength) or 6 RUNs (seperate I+ and
I-)? I understand that all those batchs in one RUN will be scaled to one
level. But will all those deferent RUNs be scaled to the same level? I
mean, besides those internal scale factors in one RUN, is there any
external scale factors between RUNs? When I read the example for MAD in the
manual, there is one thing I couldn't figure out. What is the purpose to
use SCALEIT at the final step? Is there anything SCALEIT can do, but SCALA
can not do? If the example wants to get the statistics, it didn't use the
ANALYSE keyword in SCALEIT. Instead of that, it used REFINE ANISOTROPIC.

Thanks.
