One more comment on deciding the existence of screw axes - if there are a 
few extant spots along an alleged screw axis, the cautious check the 
original frames, not just the reduced data.  Often these "spots" turn out 
to be blob-over from fat neighbors.
If you use scalepack, I think the key works "no merge orginal index" will 
keep the original frame info in the output file so you can figure out which 
frames to look at.
