I guess I started this discussion by stating that I thought Bobscript's
maps looked better than Povscript+'s.  Now Tim, you know I love what you
have done (especially with surface rendering), and I think the density
pitures on your website look great.  My personal problem is that when I
zoom out to show a larger region, the high density of lines in the map
sometimes made it too difficult to see the structure.  Of course, I have
tried the map simplification using "mapdepth -x", but I haven't been too
happy with it.  In fairness, I haven't tried to optimize the map slices as
is suggested in the manual.
