 Maybe this is naive, but if you publish arent you prepared to display
the experiment? If you really think that someone else will not agree
with your interpretation, and you are not prepared to provide your
evidence, should your publication have any significance whatsoever?
Maybe there ought to be a impact factor of 0.000 for any such document? 


  There are already guidelines for time lags - you can put your data on
hold while you examine mutants etc..
