Hello all!

Thank you to all those who responded to my message. My original posting is
listed below.

Here is a summary of the responses I received:

1) Maybe I cannot explain you this sharply. But, the same happened to me; in
my case, the problem is that I made the environment sets at my .cshrc (as the
warp package asks for). Nevertheless, my default shell is the bash. I should
"translate" those settings to the bash shell, a workaround is that when I want
to use the warp package I simply change my shell to csh before calling the
ccp4i (of course I made the appropriate setting for ccp4 in both shells, csh
and bash).

2) Yeah, I had a problem like that. Can't remember the exact error
message I got but "Job will fail if run" was definitely there. My
problem was that I hadn't installed arp/warp properly. Have you
checked that you have the correct things in your .cshrc file? Have
you run the install.sh file? I forgot that one.... Also the tar.gz
file that you should install in CCP4i/System Administration/Install
Tasks is the one in the arp_warp_6.0 directory you get when you
download the program. The file with capital letters. I found that
very confusing as you get another tar.gz file that comes outside the
directory.... Just thought I had to tell you what my problem was as I
spent quite some time figuring it out! Especially as your mtz file is
fine in the other programs....

3) Make sure your paths for warpbin is set correctly in your .chsrc as
mentioned in the README file from the installation instructions.
If that is followed properly, there should be no problem at all.

4) did you check wether or not old arp things are still around?
that might cause problems.
the good old 'microsoft solution' might also be applicable:
quit ccp4i, log out, log in, and start anew .. ;-)
or did you already try that?)

5) i think you have not installed it properly ....?
Did you run 'install.sh' and put the right lines in your .cshrc or simply
installed the interface ? Did you follow *EXACTLY* what is on the README file
?

6) your problem may be due to either of two reasons:
1. You are descending too deeply in your path down to your working
directory; you could move your data directory a few levels up and try
again.
2. Permissions of the ARP/WARP directory may not be set correctly. If
you have done a chown root:root on your warp program directory, ordinary
users are not allowed to access the binaries! Just call a "chmod 755
arp_warp_6.0" to fix this.

7) Any references to arp_warp_5.x in your .cshrc file or other common source
files need to be completely removed.

The correct solution turned out to be 6(2). When I installed the newest
version of ccp4-4.2.2 I was logged in as root and the permissions for that
directory were set as such. So when I logged back in as myself, I could not
access the files in that directory. When I changed the permissions, ARP/wARP
ran without a problem.

Thanks again for all your helpful suggestions.
