York Structural Biology Laboratory logo CCP4 logo

Maria Turkenburg-van Diepen

Since October 1997 I have been working part-time as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow for CCP4 (Collaborative Computing Project Number 4). It is my job to write documentation and tutorial material for and test the Graphical User Interface which Liz Potterton has developed for the CCP4 Suite of programs. I am also part of the CCP4 Automation Project. The CCP4 group in York is part of the York Structural Biology Laboratory in the Department of Chemistry at The University of York.

Here is a bird's eye view of the university: University of York, UK, and a collection of maps: How to reach the University of York.

These pages are still very much under construction.

Although I feel the use of images on homepages (i.e. the 'first' of a set of web pages) should be limited, I find myself including more and more of them. This page started off with only the Protein Structure Group web logo, and a colourful background, while all other images were either hidden in a link (e.g. the picture of the university), or on a separate page (see below, e.g. on the yorkpage). I couldn't, however, resist the composite picture from HMS Beagle, and have now decided to include the CCP4 logo. Forgive me.

Go to my CCP4 pages to see what I'm up to work-wise. You might find the most recent version of some part of the CCP4 Documentation there!
Go to yorkpage, for some information on this beautiful city.
Go to privatepage, which contains all my Dutch things, including web rings.
Go to my web writing course, originally written for children of around 10 years of age but great for anybody just wanting to learn the basics.
Go to designpage, for my collection of links to do with web design.

My thesis is now HTML-ified. Please note that this thesis is subject to copyright law.
