PDB Transition

Dear Colleague:

As many of you know responsibility for the Protein Data Bank (PDB) is
shifting from Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) to the Research
Collaboratory for Structural Bioinformatics (RCSB; http://www.rcsb.org).
BNL, the RCSB, and the US National Science Foundation (NSF) have developed
a transition plan intended to make the transition as seemless as possible
to the community of PDB depositors and users. To keep you informed of
these developments the transition plan is now available at
http://www.rcsb.org/pdb/docs/transition.html. If you have questions
regarding the transition which began on October 1, 1998 and ends on
October 31, 1999 they may be addressed to info@rcsb.org.
