[ccp4bb]: Se-Met (again)

Hi,

Sorry, but this is another Se-Met related question.

I have some native crystals that diffract reasonably well (in the region of 2Ang). Se-Met derivatives of the same look really nice, in fact they look quite a bit nicer than the native crystals, so its kind of perplexing that they only diffract to ~7 Ang at best.

We have tried cryocooling the crystals straight from the mother liquor (it contains enough PEG to allow that), and transferring the crystals to cryoprotectants containing DTT, etc., in the vain hope that this somehow magically improves the resolution.

Has anyone else had a similar experience/advice?

Thanks,

Gerry
