I recently ran an unofficial benchmark here in the lab that might be of interest.
It was a small solve job finding 10 sites in a 2.8A three wavelength
MAD experiment.
DEC Alpha 500 MHz 512 MB RAM 56 min
SGI R10000 240 (?) Mhz 256 MB RAM 102 min
Athlon (not Thunderbird) 800 MHx 256 MB RAM 106 min
