There was a bug in the distributed ccif Makefiles for CCP4 4.0.1,
which incorrectly zapped the binary ccif dictionary
($CLIBD/cif_mmdic.lib) when doing "make realclean". Possibly this is
what happened to you.
A fix for this can be found on the CCP4 problems page
(http://www.dl.ac.uk/CCP/CCP4/problems.html). Essentially you have to
re-run "make" in the $CCP4/lib/ccif directory to rebuild the library
file in the correct place.
If this doesn't turn out to be the problem then please e-mail us at
ccp4@dl.ac.uk, including as much information as possible so we can try
to help you.
Best wishes
Peter Briggs.
