Re: [ccp4bb]: maps for OSX

Hi Chris:
All CCP4 programs including xdlmapman should work fine on OS X. In fact
CCP4 compiled for me on OS X better than on my SGI (where I can't seem
to get refmac5 to compile, and I had to hack the configure file).
Anyway I put a few suggestions on a web page located at:
http://chemistry.ucsc.edu/~wgscott/crystallography_on_OS_X.html
This will tell you how to get x-windows, fortran compiler, tcl/tk and
that sort of thing working, and it has some work-arounds for a few buggy
irritations.
I hope it might be of some use. Also, please look at the ccp4 Mac OS X
page if you haven't already: http://www.ccp4.ac.uk/problems/mac_4_2.html
All the best,
Bill Scott
