No. DM will generate its own mask internally - you do not need to give one. 
You can output this mask for use in Solomon if you wish.

No.

Solvent from NCS: Run mapmask with 'expand overlap' and 'xyzlim cell'.

NCS from solvent: no general solution.

I believe so, if you turn off the automatic mask determination in 'dm'.
