scitech@apple.com is not a very good way of communicating directly with
Apple. It is an Apple provided list for users to communicate with one
another. Of course, some Apple engineers do lurk there and answer
questions from time to time. However, there is no mechanism in place to
make sure that complaints sent there are ever looked at by anyone at
Apple. If it works at all, you got lucky.

The feedback page is a good channel for broad suggestions and big
picture solutions that you want to see on the mac, like "I need
stereo!". For detailed problems of the sort of minutae that a lone
engineer would love to see, the best feedback is through Apple's bug
reporter:

This would be for stuff like "stereo doesn't work with my NEC avn2
monitor, and Crystal Eyes on such and such an operating system" or
maybe even "I need stero in a window support!" In order to file bugs
there, you need to join the Apple Developer Program. Happily this is
free and anyone can join.

My understanding is that this is a limitation of how fast liquid
crystals can be made to change state. Until such time that the flat
panels go to a technology that can switch at this rate, you'll probably
be working on CRTs for 3D visualization techniques that rely on very
fast refresh rates.
