Tony Giannetti, Ph.D.

Dr. Giannetti joined Roche in 2005 after completing his Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biophysics at Caltech, and an undergraduate degree in chemistry at UC Santa Barbara. He is currently responsible for all the compound/protein assays using surface plasmon resonance (SPR) assays with Biacore technology. His primary focus has been leveraging the technology for fragment screening as part of an early lead generation, in addition to identifying applications of SPR throughout the discovery process. Outside of work, Tony is an avid musician with backgrounds in voice, piano, and flute. He has also been a seriously-playful yoga student for the last 7 years and teaches beginning and advanced Anusara-style yoga classes throughout the bay area.
