Glyn Williams, D. Phil.

Glyn Williams is currently the Director of Biophysics at Astex Therapeutics. Glyn joined Astex Therapeutics in 2001 from Roche Products in the UK. Glyn obtained his degree and D.Phil. in Chemistry from the University of Oxford and subsequently carried out research in Bio-Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Sydney and University College London. His interests in protein structure and mechanism took him to Roche in 1990 where he first worked on the HIV protease inhibitor, Saquinavir. At Astex, Glyn has been responsible for integrating nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectrometry and thermal methods into the Pyramid screening platform.
