*** Two workshops of general interest at the CHESS Users Meeting ***

CHESS (Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source) Annual Users Meeting will
be held June 12-13, 2001, in Ithaca, New York, USA.

The first day is dedicated to information on CHESS: progress over the
past year, user reports, plans for the future. CHESS is not a large
facility, but much excellent work has been done there and will be done
there in the future. All are welcome to come and hear about the exciting
developments to come.

The second day will feature a discussion of the Energy Recovery Linac, a
new x-ray source being planned for Cornell, as well as two workshops:

1) New Developments in X-ray Detectors, organized by Sol Gruner, a
pioneer in the use of CCD detectors for crystallography. Many of the
types of area detectors currently being developed will be discussed and
compared.

2) Ultra High Resolution Protein Crystallography, organized by the
MacCHESS staff. Particular areas of emphasis include optimum handling of
crystals to get high resolution data and what we can learn from high
resolution structures.
