A .x file  can be used to with xdisp to display the hklpredictions.
Check out www.hkl-xray.com for a on-line manual.  The command has 
the form

prompt> xdisp [detector_format] mydiffractionpat_###.osc
[#_to_be_diplayed] mydiffractionpat_###.x

This is the syntax for the most recent versions of HKL.  Check out
pages 17-18 of the on-line manual if this is confusing.
