Interesting question, I quickly tried the 3DB browser
(http://pdb-browsers.ebi.ac.uk/pdb-bin/pdbmain) text search option. Result:

12766 X-ray structures
3496 headers contain "molecular replacement" and/or "MR"
517		         "MIR"
494                  "MAD"
168                  "MIRAS"
79                   "SIRAS"

So, the statistics don't add up, but I guess its a good indication.

Hi all.

This is not a ccp4 related question but maybe someone of you can help me.
I'm a PhD student and I'm trying to find out a statistics on the usage of
various structure determination methods (MIR, SIR, MAD, SIRAS, etc...).
Any suggestion on where to find this info?
