Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if it's possible to use stereo with linux with the
last Nvidia's GPU : GeForce3 Ti500 and the Quadro2 Pro

The linux drivers from www.nvidia.com seem to support stereo

These are the two GPU specifications :
*
GeForce3 Ti 500 *
Graphics Core: 256-bit
Memory Interface: 128-bit DDR
Fill Rate : 3.84 Billion AA Samples/Sec.
Operations per Second: 960 Billion
Memory Bandwidth: 8.0GB/Sec.

*Quadro2 Pro** :*
Graphics Core: 256-bit
Triangles per Second <javascript:openGlossary%28%27LO%27,608%29;> :31
Million
_Pixels Per Second <javascript:openGlossary%28%27LO%27,595%29;> _ :1.0
Billion
Memory Bandwidth:6.4 GB/s

I don't know how to compare the two cards because they don't have the
same specifications (operations/s VS pixels/s and the fill rate)
The GeForce3 Ti 500 (~500 euros) is half price of the Quadro2 Pro (~1000
euros) based graphic card
I would like to know if the GeForce3 Ti 500 is enough fast and powerful
to use stereo with O.

The ccp4bb and o mailing list always speak about the 3Dlabs Oxygen GVX1
and ATI Fire GL2. They cost around 1000 euros and I'm wondering if there
is not a cheaper solution for stereo

Thank you in advance for your helpful answers
