Hi Graeme,

it might not be the firewall (after all, you were able to get the
ccp4_cv.sh script). The system for getting the files from our WWW
server are (in this order)

  1. ncftpget (FTP)
  2. wget     (FTP+HTTP)
  3. lynx     (FTP+HTTP)
  4. ftp      (FTP)

(CCP4 4.2.2 distribution will also be done via ftp if all else fails).

So to test things try

  % type wget
  % type lynx

If any of these aren't there I strongly recommend getting one of these
programs. Or log into a computer (e.g. Linux) that actually has these
tools.

Obviously, there could just be something wrong with your firewall ...
