As Warren stated the stereo in a window (quad buffered stereo) is a
function of the card, not the emitter.
I have an Oxygen GVX1 and I'm trying to test the Xig Summit driver. I
took a working Stereographics emitter and glasses from an O2,
plugged it in, and tried to get DINO to drive hardware stereo. It
complained that my X-server did not support stereo. I then tried VMD,
and this actually set up the quad-buffered stereo in a window, but the
emitter was not turned on, so I got no effect. Not sure where the
problem lies. Boaz Shaanan reported a seperate problem (with O, I
think) using the same card/X-server. So I'm not sure we can say the Xig
stuff works with stereo.
I was interested to see that ATI now gives linux drivers. Their cards
also have Stereographics type ports. I noticed someone (Jason Yano)
said they saw/heard-about/used(?) a GL2 card, and stereo worked well.
Does it give quad-buffered stereo??
Thanks
