Hi All,

I'm having some strange problems trying to run ccp4 in win2k.

1) I tried to use Uniqueify to generate a free R flag from structure
factors. The same set of structure factors works fine in Linux. The
program runs without errors, but the .mtz file is twice as large as the
original mtz file, when you try to use this mtz file in refinement it crashed the program.
The error message given is that there are too many reflections (surprise !!)

2) After a round of refinement in refac5, I tried to generate ccp4 maps
to read into O. When I read them
into O in win2k I get the following error:

Fm> File name? []:
2fo-fc.map
Fm> Name of this map? [Q5]: map5
Fm>
Fm> Map type is CCP4
Fm>
Fm> Titles from file:

Fm> Permutation of axes .. 2 1 3

When I read them into O under linux they read in fine.

One last question: Is there a way to change the parameters for the view
any file option? I want to do an mtzdump on an mtz file and see the first
20 lines, the default doesn't show me any reflections, and changing the
permissions to u+x for a .csh file under cygwin is giving me problems (ie
it's not working).

Thanks,

Jason
