Hi,

Sorry this is not a strictly CCP4 question but it may be of general 
interest.

We're thinking of buying a DVD writer for backups as many of us are fed 
up with DAT tapes. I'm trying to find an external FireWire drive that 
will work with Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. However we're willing to 
give up on the Linux option or at least wait until it becomes more 
reliable.

The question is, do any of you out there have such a drive and can you 
offer any other advice?
